Joe Maalouf is a founding partner of the Canadian firm Effiqual / Designed Learning Canada, a consulting company that helps organizations improve quality, sustainability, and effectiveness by focusing on the development of the person at work. He has also been a senior consultant with Designed Learning since 1993.

Joe Maalouf also served as a Member of the Lebanese Parliament from 2009 to 2018, where he played a key role in driving reforms aimed at strengthening government oversight, combating corruption, and promoting transparency.
